- A "real time business" simulation product, based on BreakEven Analysis, which allowed "what if" analysis and simulation of a real time business (Ready-Mix Concrete operations); 1970s.
- One of the first real-time wireless business applications in the U.S. (ready-mix order entry and concrete dispatching using mobile data transponders): 1970s.
- The world's first PC-based fourth generation language (4GL) with built-in natural language (Salvo, 1984), voted by PC Magazine as one of the nine best database products of the year -- a feat for which he was voted Future Computing's Software Entrepreneur of the year.

- A CASE tool which included a built-in IDEF1X data modeling tool and which automatically generated ready-to-run relational database applications (Inroads), 1992.
- A business rules engine used for real-time pricing of yellow page ads, 1994.
- A business rules engine used in Medicare / Medicaid billing in long-term health care, 1996.
- A natural language database query product, Answer Server (2005). This product was the basis for one of the few successful natural language search implementations in the U.S. (for the Wyoming Dept. of Environmental Quality)
